What the hell is going on with the black race?Why are we making buffoons out of ourselves?White people all over america are laughing at us(black people). First Three 6 mafia won a Oscar for "It's Hard Out Here for a Pimp". Out of the thousand songs that have been made by Black people, that one wins an Oscar.To me thats just White people promoting ignorance. Now we move on to "Chicken noodle soup" a.k.a The ****** shuffle dance. This is sad because radio stations mostly play garbage like that. But Hot97 rejected real hiphop artist Talib Kweli new single. I feel the black youth is not being educated in school and at home about black history and on how the way we act in public is how the rest of the world will see us. Next is the video I just watched on YouTube called "Ms Peachez- Fry that chicken". I really don't know what to say now. 400 years of slavery, the Harlem Renaissance and the Civil Rights Movement. All for what!! I want to help our race. Does any have Ideas on how I can Help

I agree, that is pretty sad. In the 60s and early 70s, white pop was the beatles, the stones, led zeppelin, pink floyd and other bands that had some intelligence and talent. Now popular is brittany spears or paris hilton. What is going on?

Honey its music its entertainment grow up. A person's education has nothing to do with what kind of music they like a white boy from Harvard could like 3-6 Mafia. And its about time black people start getting Oscars. I must admit as much as I love Terrance Howard I am glad that he didn't get it for being a pimp. But hell Denzel got it playing a crocked cop and Halle got it for sleeping with a white man. The only one who got it for a good cause was Jamie. And not trying to be funny but you don't know a d*mn thing about slavery I am sure you wern't around 400 years ago. And not to be funny racism lives in all races. The civil rights movement did help and what to you mean for what? The fact your black and can read is the WHAT. You seem like you have an education thats the WHAT. You get to speak your mind even if no one wants to hear you thats the WHAT. The only way you can help the race is live your life the best way you see fit. And try to encourage the young kids that you know. And don't be a racist aginst your own people.

but i know there is been some articles on
a school called Cleveland High School
in reseda, California
they have a village program there where they gather all the black students in the school and talk about how we need to change and they way we cat in society and stuff like that. Also the black population there has greatly increased their CAT 6 test scores and the black population has helped that school become distinguished

And Look at some of the songs WHITES have made and gotten rich over them...Dumb *** songs by dumb *** people I dont agree with that instead of bashing your own damn race u should acknowledge the fact that they are making good music for the public.. They're not here selling crack rocks...Look at some of the young whites in entertainment making a mockery of themselves...Just like nasty Paris Hilton making a sex tape degrading her whole family... Acts like she has the world and which she has money, but she hasnt even earned a damn GED yet..Lindsay Lohan a complete 20 year old alcoholic and she wins Oscars what about that?

If we aren't educating about "black" history then why do we have a holiday dedicated for mlk. why don't we have days off for white people?

there is an almost excellent yet horrifying (or maybe its just me) site that can explain why alot of what you see is resurfacing. I think some idea's are just being resurfaced.
