It's become almost a sport for guys. Have any women out there ever realized that sleeping around with some dumb-azz thug of a guy and all his friends might put them in those situations? Have any women ever realized that you *may not* be a victim in the situation, but rather an accomplice?

Ok. Ha! Let's establish a couple of things.
First - sh*t happens. Some people end up in a bad situation due and may not be generalized by this question. If that's the case, and it's obvious, why would you post such an off-topic answer?
Second - Saying things like women are "manipulated" by men and thus it's entirely the man's fault is total b.s. You'd probably say that women are both victims and the most powerful "creatures" on earth in the same breath.
Otherwise, lots of good answers. I'm glad I'm not the only one out there who see's the b.s. of the increasingly critical situation.

I also want to establish that, and I know this *because* I'm a father, quite often women will try to push their "baby-daddy" (ghetto slang) out of the childs life, I personally fight daily to have my RIGHTS as a father ENFORCED by a judicial system that automatically sees men as deadbeats. I firmly believe that most guys would stick around if the situation (from conception to inception) were different. Some guys are just deadbeats, but not the majority.

They don't think it out when they go ahead and have a baby with someone. They live for the moment and do whatever with the person they're with for the moment, and it should be no surprise to them when the father disappears.
I sometimes wonder, though, if these young women just wanted to have their babies and don't particularly care if the father stays around anyway.

1. How do you know that they want the man?
2. Maybe some women want the family without the man.
3. No strings attached with custody, because the men are deadbeats.

First, these women should be using some type of birth control if they plan on having sex. Secondly, they should be a little more selective in they types of men they choose to sleep with. I could go on and on, but I will stop now before I end up writing a novel on this subject.

I guess i am one of those women... but my kids dad, fell victim to drugs and is burnt out strung out and is trying to file for 51-50. So should i stay with him No... I left him and i dont regrett it!!! I was 2 months pregnant when i left him... he cried and tried to hunt me down i moved away and told him my daughter isnt his. U need to hear the girls side of the story...
He'd probably say he left me and the kid aint his... but it all backwards...
And a man like that should be in jail, not a father to an innocent child!!

many women think that having a man's child would make them stay with them. When it doesn't work the woman turns the child against the father by telling the child years of lies.

because to many woman think that having a child will change their man or keep them around.
cause - parents don't take the time to tell their kids the reality and truthof things. children are a blessing, but even a dog can pop puppies. responsibility also seems to be a thing of the past, its always someone elses fault, don't you read the papers?

i realize that that is the situation for many women, but it also happens to women who you wouldnt think it would.
my mother was with my father for FOUR YEARS. then he joined the navy, was dating another woman behind my moms back, came home on a break and slept with my mom. the day my mom found out she was pregnant, she got a letter from him saying that he married this other woman, and he hoped my mom wasnt pregnant. despite 4 years of dating, being engaged, planning a wedding and planning on having kids, my mom got ditched. then he ran from her for 8 years, dodging child support. the ironic thing is, after 21 years, he just left his wife for a woman with FIVE children. some guys just seem really perfect and awesome until their integrity is tested, and they fail.
