I think that it's about a stalker, or some kind of unrequited love, maybe someone who's broken hearted...
theres a bit that says.... untill you see that your just like me, like that she's trying to make them feel the same way.. & she also seems like she's being ignored

It was a part of the soundtrack to the movie remake Romeo and Juliet with Leonardo DiCaprio and Claire Danes. It had to do with the relationship between the 2 main characters and their tragic ending.

Its a bit of both...Shirley Manson had a very weird childhood and she would obsess over things alot, from what I am reading from half of her songs.....great song though, great band!!
