They have met 10 times previously, with
Spain winning 3 times,
Argentina 5 times
and 2 matches drawn.

Do statistics really mean anything at all? I don't think so. VIVA ESPANA!!

I don't understand it, but Spain tends to be perenial underperformers. Argentina generally does not have that problem. When Argentina plays, they play like they expect to win - don't always see that with Spain. I think that's the difference.

Go Spain!!! Do you know any site or channel where I can see this game ? This match will be a blast. It is hard to tell really if we go by the stat cos both teams are very strong but I am rooting for Spain. After all, a win against Argentina will help them alleviate their pain from their unfortunate defeat to France ( Thanks to Henry the Cheater.)

there both great countries, very talented in football, and no history doesn't mean anything cause any team can get beat at any time, but i think Spain will take this one, just cause no Riquelme, i think Argentina is gonna have a hard time with out there on field leader, there gonna have to find a new play maker, but it will be a great game no matter what, is this game gonna be on tv in the states at all does anyone know

i hope spain wins for a change i love messi..i love torres...it will be hard for me to watch them playing against each other...you know it will be better if the matches ends 2-2 or 3-3...you will see goals and in the same time no one will go home sad ..
