Which is better/what is the different between the DELL latitude D820 and the Dell inspirons (the silver ones)?

I bought the latitude D820 but it seems most people at my school bought the espiron and they feel a lot lighter and easier to carry. I am wondering if there is anyway I can switch mine for one of those... I bought my laptop in July...

I don't think you can trade it in even. But at work everyone uses the Latitude. I am not sure why but maybe it is a little faster and might be a little more flexible with hardware. I have a Inspiron 1000 which is a good cheap computer. I believe the Latitude is a little more expensive.

I think most people would be happy to trade you a cheap insprion for a Latitude any day. Go to Dell and check out the diff in the two.. I am willing to bet you have the better computer.. Probably faster and all. Most Insprions have a slower CPU in them and the battery last longer on the Latitude.

Lattitudes are Dell's business line of laptops. Personally, I own a Lattitude because I think they are built a lot better (therefore the extra heft) and have more add-on parts available like docks...and the extra nifty feature of being able to use a CD drive bay as a secondary battery bay is freakin sweet too (if your particular model has this).

The inspitons are the lower level laptops built for being light, but they tend to have a bit better graphics capability as they are geared more towards the ordinary student....

But a Lattitude with enough RAM shouldn't have a problem keeping up either.

I had a DELL Inspiron and it was the BEST laptop computer by far that I ever had.

Now when it comes to desktop my SONY is PERFECT !!

I have had some BAD computers.
