That is a good question. They aren't as involved these days because they were attacked by terrorists in Mecca because of their affiliation with the United States. I think the more openly this question is asked the less politically correct the Saudis support of terrorism becomes.

Who said they are our allies?

As long as we depend on them for oil they have us by the short-hairs.

They have not been particularly supportive of us in either Iraq or Afghanistan, however. And they are also deathly afraid of Al Qaeda, which threatens the Royal Family as much as the U.S.

Saudi Arabia is not a friend of the USA. It has funded Muslim terrorists for many years... It may be a friend of the clinton thing and the bushwhacker.... but not of the USA.
