1. an act or instance of choosing; selection - Choice consists of that mental process of thinking involved with the process of judging the merits of multiple options and selecting one for action. Simple examples can involve deciding whether to get up in the morning or go back to sleep, or selecting a given route to make a journey across a country.

2. the act of or need for making up one's mind - Decision is a final product of the specific mental/cognitive process of an individual or a group of persons/organizations which is called decision making, therefore it is a subjective concept.

It seems to me; first, that decision-making is primarily an intellectual activity. When we tell someone to decide, we mean that they should think about something and then choose. Decision-making may, in fact, simply be part of a choice, the part during which we take note of the facts and think about which choice we will make.

The word "decision" in the dictionary defines it as a judgment on an issue or making up of one's mind, reinforcing this idea. A decision is when we make a judgment that often leads to a choice and in many choices there is a decision which then leads without interruption into the making of a choice which is defined as the right, power or liberty to choose, or to select with care.

Therefore, a choice must be a choice between options, one of which becomes the object of the choice. A choice exists only where there is an alternative and a decision is final.

Evidently, this is some kind of riddle with a set answer. Basically, the words are synonymous. Say, for example, you go to a fancy restaurant, and you can't decide between filet mignon or beef wellington. You finally choose the filet. You have made both a choice and a decision.
