I do not always agree with George W......we are at war, he is our president. I think being the president during 9/11 was a rough task for any man. We have not been attacked since. I think our enemies see George as a crazy American cowboy and I kinda like that. I think he was the right man the job as far as the U.S. being attacked, but as for the rest of his policies I'm about 50/50.

This question is getting old but I never tire of giving this one simple example. 9/11 was a tradgic event unlike any other since the attack on Peral Harbor with respect to foreign attack on US soil. However, it did show that it was possible on that day and lets just assume that 09/11/2002 has not happened at all, YET. If that were the case then in all likelyhood the US would still be operating under the assumption that it could NEVER happen or was at the very least HIGHLY improbable. Fact is, it did happen and the people and governments of this country WOKE UP. Now, as I said, assuming it had never happened and we had yet to wake up to the possibility then at any point SINCE 09/11/2002 this COULD have taken place since obviously it was possible then and would still be possible today. Except for one thing ... George W. Bush stood up and said no more. He took actions, most of which the people were in favor of at that time and since then, despite the misinformation, apparent lack of full disclosure, etc etc (which the liberals have attacked with full force), there has NOT been another attack on US soil of such magnitude. So, would I say he did something good ... you're damn right.

Personally, I think he is an idiot. Then why do I support him? Because he is trying to come up with solutions. Even if they are sometimes disagreeable, It is more than what many people on both sides of the political spectrum are TRYING to come up with. I can tell you all the good thing that Bush has done, but with your impatience and the contempt you seem to be showing it would be pointless and any further typing in this answer would be a waste of my time(not to mention anyone else's).

Bush is Bush. He has taken a stand for our country and is not backing down. Regardless of errors he's made in his speaking abilities, #1 he's a Texan! #2 He has made the decision to protect our country from terror. It may be an ongoing war but he AIN't backing down. We've been to war for less and it seems most of the American population was ok with some of these wars. they found them justifiable. C'mon, our safety is much more a concern than just fighting for oil like we did for a year during Desert Storm!

Here are the top ten reasons, in no particular order....1) He cut my taxes.... 2) He cut my employers taxes (my employer gave me a raise).... 3) He is actively involved in protecting our country against terrorists.... 4) He increased funding for public school systems and is holding the schools accountable for teaching their students.... 5) He is helping millions of welfare recipients to get productive jobs which allow them to support themselves and their children and give them self respect....6) He has done or seriously attempted to do everything he promised in his campaign which is a rarity amongst politicians..... 7) He does not allow the united nations to command our military.....8) He stands up for the things he believes in and does not change his beliefs every time a new poll comes out..like some previous administrations did......10) He is respected world wide... perhaps disliked by some... but respected nonetheless.

When you add the Dem.party to the Rep.party you get a new 3rd party called the autistic party because all the do is bash their heads against the wall and ignore the issues and facts that normal people would would recognize. I only like him as a fellow human being swept into the political vortex of disaster, dismay, and doubt..... it could happen to anyone given the same circumstances ......and his sense of denial is superb.

i think while i don't like all of his policies, that he has shown a char actor that was missing from the presidency for a long time.
i feel that we need leaders who will act without an opinion poll.
we must realize that to hesitate in a world of global terrorism is far more dangerous than to hesitate.you may disagree with this statement but have we been attacked since 911?

I like Bush because many who disagrees with him are the ones I disagree with... concurrently, I agree with more of President Bush views versus the folks who severely disagrees with his views. Hence I like my President.
I really don't know if I would "like" or "dislike" Bush as an individual. I would like to meet the President and speak/lunch with him to find out what he is really like as an individual.
