I was doing online shopping today and I don't want my boyfriend to know because it was for his birthday and he doesn't want me to delete anything from the history folder because he was surfing the net the other day for something and he looked at a bunch of sites, he found what he wanted, but he forgot which site has what he wants. He's been super busy lately with work and hasn't had a chance to go through the list (which is seriously long, like at least 100 sites, but probably way more) yet. I don't want him seeing what sites I was at because as soon as he does he'll know what all I got him. Can I delete just today's history of websites or no?

Thanks everyone. I'm trying to pretend I got him something other than what he wanted so he'll be surprised when he sees that I got exactly what he wants, hopefully. Anyhow, I just deleted today's stuff and I'm going to clear the cookies out too. Thanks a bunch.

yep you sure can. If you go to your history, it should have dates. You just click on the date you want to delete and delete that history instead of everything.

Yes, up on the right 2 arrows next to the house click on that and you will see "history." Click on that and it shows what you saw today and back several days. Just delete today's history. You will also be able to see which sites you went to there and you can delete them instead of the whole day.

Hope that helps.

3.Click the Today button and select the item you wish to delete
4. Right click the mouse and press delete on the item.

Yes, if you are using Internet Explorer, you should delete the temporary files and Cookies under Internet Options too.

To delete just certain history, press CTRL+H. Click on View, then "Sort by Date", then right-click on the day that you want to delete (or the individual sites) and click on Delete.
