No it is not rebellion. I don't think my views are going to change later in life. Republicans have only the same answers to questions? Seems like all Democrats can say is "Bush bad!". How is that thinking for yourself?

Maybe not brainwash, but convince.

However, if you support Bush, then stand up for what you believe in

Republicans try to uphold the status quo. Many new ideas (inside the past 100 years) scare them. It goes against the bible or something like that. Very few artists and scientists are republicans and these people are the real movers and shakers on the planet (republicans think they are). Republicans are afraid of new ideas and as such are afraid to think new ideas and are stuck with old ideas that have been turned inside out ad-nausea. Can't think might not be the right term..Won't think beyond the status quo might work better.

Rebelling against mommy and daddy isn't thinking for yourself. You don;t say why you are a Republican, you don't say why you support Bush - only that you are trying to piss off your parents. So, when you grow up and can vote, hopefully, you will figure out that Republicans are sheep and do whatever they are told without asking the hard questions and demanding answers to the stupid things dubya is doing.

Every one has an opinion, there is not necessarily a wrong and a right. I defiantly think you should hold true to your values and beliefs and forget which party they belong to. It's politics, there are very few honest politicians! Just make sure your completely informed and not biased based on the party. What is it you want for this country, and your self.

I am republican but I do not support Bush anymore. You should listen to your parents.... if Bush and the other religious fanatics of the world aren't stopped the world will end.

Because those that say that are lib-socialists who read pamphlets with their small brain capacity yet speak as if they are geniuses. Look at votes in Congress of who more closely votes along party lines.....it's always the lib-socialist dems. Their propoganda is always hypocritical yet hippies and tree-huggers absorb it like it is their pot. Thinking for yourself is actually a hateful thing to the lib-socialists; they hate everyone who doesn't agree or think like them.

Both parents democrats? You're lucky you weren't aborted!

If you think you are entitled to keep the money you earn, you are Conservative. This model works well.

If you think you are entitled to money other people earn, you are Socialist. This model creates misery and dispair.

Think for yourself

Many Republicans sound like they're just repeating what Rush Limbaugh or Ann Coulter tell them to say.

That isn't thinking for yourself - that is rebelling. Doesn't support anything.

Republicans are said to not think for themselves because if you look at their replies and questions, they will state things like "Rush said. . ." or "If you saw Fox News. . .". It's okay to quote something, but to take it as gospel is "brainwashing".
