Try Stub-Hub.com. My boyfriend has gotten great Chicago Sox tickets from there all year. The tickets come really fast and there have been no problems. We even sat in 2nd row bleacher for $120 for the Cubs-Sox. (Which, if you don't know, is the hardest ticket to get in Chicago in the summer!)

Just be careful w/ prices. These are people selling their tickets, so they charge what they want. As people have said, the closer u are, the more it costs!

My advice is also to go to standing room only or general admission concerts (G.A.) I don't know where u live, but in Chicago, we have many G.A. venues and honestly, I'd rather see a concert in a smaller place and get to stand closer. You just have to get there really early or push ur way to the front. So you kind of have to be a jerk, but its worth it! Also, concerts at the Hard Rock (at least in my city) have a special deal where if u eat dinner there, then u get to be in the front of the line for the G.A. concert. We stood in the front for Chevelle...that rocked! I got a pick and almost got the playlist!

Also, try joining a fan club for the band ur interested in. Sometimes you can get in early for sound check or meet and greet and get better spots then.

You have to be the very first person in line when the tickets go on sale. And then you have to be lucky enough that nobody has bought all the front row tickets on the Internet. If you use a Ticket Agent you will pay a premium.

Maybe just the luck of the draw - I saw Pearl Jam play in a small theatre in 1994 and got tickets right up front, ticketmaster lady on the phone said they were the last ones when I called to get them. Or just get tickets to someone no one wants to see.

Sorry the closer you are, the more expensive it will be. Try getting a ticket agent, they will give you great prices.

If the date is close it is less likely that the ticket will be cheap, but try ticketmaster.com. It's been good to me up 'til now. Good luck!
