Go to my computer or windows explorer. Right click on the C: drive and select properties.

Firstly something that you should know about hard drives. They do not have memory, only storage capacity.
if you are using windows XP go to "my computer" then look for the drive letter that you require. To the right of the drive letter you will see 2 lots of figures. the first is the capacity of the drive & the second is the free space. the 2nd figure is the amount of room you have left on your drive before it is full

Do you mean how much available space is left on your hard drive?
If you are using W2000 Professional, right click on My Computer, click on the drive you wish to use, the used and available space will show.
That's a lot of stuff to load on your computer and I hope you have enough space available so it won't overwrite your OS.

With 2000, just select "my computer" and then right click on "Local drive c:" and select "properties." You should see how much memory you have in there.
While you are there do "disk cleanup," and that will free up some memory for you.

I think you are asking how much space is there for downloading.
Click on "my computer" then right click on your drive letter "c" click on properties and it will show a chart of the space on that drive.

If you have windows XP.... double click "my computer" then click once on the "C" drive and you should see the space with the details on the left.
