I threw away the box and the manual pretty much sucks..
I found under "my computer", "properties" and went to "hardware" but I don't know what I'm looking for!

Your PC should have a model number on the front (look for something like 1520a or something like that). Look up your model on the internet and look for it's features.

Or, an easier way would be to e-mail or call HP support. They have award winning customer service and they should be able to help you out in no time.

Sometimes you can tell by an antenna sticking out of the PC somewhere, but many HP Media Center PCs have built in wireless meaning no antenna sticking out of it.

By the way, HP Media Center PCs are cool. Dell stinks. Nice choice.

Most new PC's do not ship with a wireless network card, but looking at the back of your PC will give you the answer, if you see an antenna (usually hinged) about 6 inches long and roughly 1/4 inch in diameter sticking out the back of it....you have a wireless network card

check the system pan, hardware->device tab in it under network resources there will be list of network cards installed on ur machine see the name of ur wireless card manufacturer in it, u can get the name of manufacturer from the documents that u get with your system.

usually there is a little icon in the bottom right corner that looks like it is searcing for a wireless signal. If its not there then you probably dont have one
