It seems to me that the one skill all the Presidents have in common is that they are very good at taking up space. Does our Country really need a great big place holder?

I think that our Nation is far more influenced by special interest groups than it would be if our President simply obeyed Congress.

For example, why do you think that Israel, which is about the size of New Jersey, and which has a miniscule population, has all of the world's eyes turn to it every time it is involved in a conflict? Why do you think it was able to ignore the U.N.'s desperate pleas for it to stop terrorizing civilians? Why do you think the U.S. government supports Israel's every action--including the bombing of childen with impunity? Hmmm, these look like good future questions.

I think we would be better off if we had a senate system instead, a group of leaders from each state who acted on our votes. Not the ones we have now though, a mix of seasoned politians and average citizens.

Without the current president, YES!!!!!!!!! But, unfortunately not without A president. It's not necessarily that the country couldn't function, more that we would become a target for other foreign leaders to attempt to take over. The office of the president is the most powerful office in the world, as far as symbolism.

I think H. Clinton should run, a woman would do a much better job at running this country.
