pain, and usually lots of it

bruising a rib actually causes a lot more pain than actually breaking a rib. A bruised rib takes a long time to heal, especially because if you are mobile, you are using it all the time. It will feel very tender on the spot and may give a sensation of muscle pain. Alternate ice and heat, and make sure to lay off heavy exercise or you will re-bruise the rib before it has a chance to heal correctly. If you are in tremendously unbearable pain, see your doctor or go to the emergency room and give them your concerns.

If it's just a bruise, it's going to be sore and tight feeling for a little while. If you have any sharp pain or difficulty breathing- get to a doctor! You could actually have a hairline fracture.

Sounds painful. I haven't experienced it yet, but once I sneezed so hard and my ribs really hurt, but luckily, no harm was done. If you tink you've got a bruised rib, seek medical advice instantly!

this happens to me each and all the time. Your abdomen muscular tissues make larger from the decrease component to your abdomen each and each of how up in the process the middle of your chest. while you're able to do a take a seat up and you place your finger purely approximately interior the middle of your chest and you start to return up, you will sense the contraction of the muscle. The soreness of this muscle is as a results of the muscular tissues that run all in the process the section which make it sense like it is your ribs whether that is no longer. For me, i'm no longer very consistent while working my abs. i'd paintings them quite a few weeks then end, and as quickly as I initiate up back i'm getting that comparable soreness. wish this solutions you question.
