15 - 5/2x = 9 + 1/2x
30x - 5 = 18x + 1 (taking lcm and cancelling out the '2x' from both sides)
12x = 6
x = 1/2 = 0.5

15-5/2x=9+1/2x
15(2x)-5=9(2x)+1
30x-5=18x+1
12x=6
x=6/12
x=1/2

2(15-5/2x)=2(9+1/2x)
30-5x=18+x
30-5x-18=18+x-18
12-5x=x
12-5x+5x=x+5x
12=6x
12/6=6x/6
2=x
