It depends on the nature of questions and the age of the person,
children's who ask lots of questions are intelligent they need to ask in order to learn,
the grown up people, if they are only curious and asking privet questions without any reason that it should be their concern I would think that they are curious, but if the questions are intellectual nature, I would thing they are interested, but I love must ,as you pot it questioning the authority, we should do it and I thing people are to busy with their own life to question it.
and the psychology of the questioning is also different ,
but the best ones are the ones who are questioning themselves, they are the truth seekers, and also sol searchers.
this is a very deep subject and needs lots of attention.
thank you for the question.

If you don't ask, you don't learn. We aren't telepaths yet. We have lost the ability of genetic memory, so questions are the order of the day. People absorb information at different speeds and retention can be a problem. The answer to your question is all of the above.

I would think they were a total idiot. ;) Just joking. I think asking questions is great. People that ask a lot of questions could be any of the above. Even if they ask because they are slow witted, its still a good thing, since it shows that they want to know and know that they do not know. too many people pretend to know when they really don't. asking questions because you're slow witted is better than being slow witted and not asking questions.

Passive aggressive when they aren t really interested in the answer or have one already and want to boost their ego by then voicing their "superior" answer. You can spot these manipulators by the way they get in your face. You intuitively know because of body language and what you know about them, that the question is not genuine. There is a knife behind the smile. These types hit new acquaintances with a barrage of questions to see what they know and then judge and compare. I have experienced this and it makes my skin crawl.....can you tell?

Apart from the above you could also include confused. Lack of clarity obviously leads to questions. Along the lines of rebellious - attention seekers as well, I would say.

A person who ask alot of questions an intelligent person. His or her mind is constantly ticking. They think really fast and want a complete answer not a get out of my face respond. It is to test what they know. This is how they keep sharp.
