The smallest common multiple of 8 and 12 is 24. Since 23 is a prime, the answer is 23*24 = 552.

I do not think any of the above answers is correct. I come up with 552. It is the smallest integer that all three (8,12,23) can be divided into and arrive at an integer as an answer. coincidentally, it is the product of 23X24(24 being the LCM of 8 & 12).

552 as long as you're looking for a MULTIPLE, not a FACTOR. You could normally do 12x23, but since 8 is the odd man out there, you have to find a number that can be a multiple for 8 and 12, and the lowest there is 24. SO you do 24x23 and VOILA! 552

All multiples start with ZERO; If you are talking specifically about the LCM (Least Common Multiple), then it equals 1.
