economic slavery!!! For the gentleman that put under educated, alot of people would love to go to college who cannot afford to. To me, anyone who is over 18, not living with parents and makes wages below poverty level should be allowed to recieve pel-grants, reguardless of parents income.

One is an accurate description (working poor) and the other is a leftwing buzzword that is essentially meaninglless. No one is 'enslaved' in this country. Anyone who wants to improve themselves can get a Stafford loan and go to school.

since America is still full of opportunity working poor would be more accurate and for those who believe we are not full of opportunities check out truck driving, auto repair or nursing these fields are begging for people so much so that WE IMPORT NURSES AND TRUCK DRIVERS.The government will pay for your TOOLS and training to be an auto mech.so if you are poor it is likely your OWN DECISIONS that have you in that situation-don't whine about single moms ,they knew about sex and risk before kids, can you say PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY

One thing I've noticed all my life is the world is constantly creating euphemisms to make people FEEL better about something without having to DO anything.
Just call them "poor."

How about dumb azz who should have stayed in school.
Your life situation is the cumulative result of the decisions YOU have made. You and only you are responsible!

These two phrases don't mean the same thing at all, so one cannot be better than the other because they mean different things; there is no comparison.
