I was trying to create a 2-column and 3-column liquid layout in CSS for my website baselayout. However, for some odd reason, it will not be displayed in MS IE 6.0 SP2. My html and css have been validated by w3.org validator. Therefore, I do not understand why it works fine in FireFox and MS IE 6.0 SP1, can anyone tell me why it doesn't work in MS IE 6.0 SP2?

Could you provide more information about what's happening to your layout in IE6? Are you saying that nothing renders whatsoever?

FYI, validating your code is definitely the way to go, so kudos...but when you start getting really nitty gritty with cross browser issues, you'll find that having valid xhtml/css is only a small cog in the wheel...necessary, don't get me wrong, just very preliminary.

in case you have padding on the two of the divs then you definately would be at over a hundred% width. 70% + 30% + padding, margins, borders = > a hundred% it is inflicting the difficulty. you are able to desire to make the widths smaller. attempt sixty 9% 29%
