In Michigan, Wisconsin, California, Texas, New York, Georgia, . . . My understanding that it is law everywhere. And why wouldn't you pull over for an emergency vehicle? Are you really in that much of a hurry???

Everyone is to pull over for a moving emergency vehicle, running with sirens and light, on the regular streets and thoroughfares anywhere in the US.

ON the INTERSTATE, you give way and yield by moving out of the lane...if they are on the side of the road, you move away from them to the lanes furtherest away or slow way down. It is best to just move over and you will avoid any problem. Too many people have been hit on the side of the interstates.

If you want to be sure, you'd look up the state's traffic laws. Yet, it's common knowledge to do so. In NJ it is, and if you fail to do so your a** winds up in prison.

Not exactly. You MUST yield to them, which usually includes pulling off the road to your RIGHT.

yes, even if it weren't the law, wouldn't you want some dumb *** to pull over so that the ambulance or fire truck could get to your house so they could save your relatives life?
