Well, let's see. I fell for her shortly after my first wife and I broke up. That was 1971. And, as usual, I've had her on my mind off and on all day today. That's 35 years, and no end in sight. I guess my answer to your question is, I don't know yet.

To tell you the truth, at least for me, there will always be a spot in my heart for my first love. I am married over 30 years. And I often wonder what my first love is up to, is he ok, is he happy. So to me the answer is never, you always keep a spot in your heart for them.

i don't think you necessarily get over your first love , i think you just move on to better love until you find the one true love,but you never forget the way you felt for your first love. good luck
