Ok so I need to find some semi nice clothing for cheap. I got a few things off the clearance at motherhood last time but I gave everything away. I have 1 nice skirt, but as I temp for OfficeTeam I need professional stuff that is comfy for when I'm not working. Semi professional should be fine. Just not tees and jeans, although I need a couple pairs of jeans and some tees too! LOL! I'm due at the end of Feb. Any suggestions on where to shop? I'm not sure what is close to us, we live in the boonies but around 15 minutes to a semi small town (big enough to have a mall) and around 45 minutes from a large city, I know I can find some stuff there if I know where to look! Money is an issue unfortuantly. Also I am huge, I cant get away with bigger clothes.

motherhood maternity (motherhood.com) has some cute things that are reasonably priced and they make plus size as well. I bought most of my things from them. They only last the duration of your pregnancy, though. They aren't made to last for years (of course, I'm poor and only wore 2 pairs of pants the whole 9 months and that probably had something to do with it)

oh, and I liked Old Navy shirts, but I had a problem with their pants. In the partial panel pants, the elastic wasn't sewed to the fabric at all, so it twisted around to be unwearable and unfixable without taking the whole pair of pants apart. In the full panel, there was no elastic at all, so I couldn't get them to stay up on me.

Sounds like me! I'm a big girl and live in the middle of nowhere, too! :-)

Fortunately, I didn't have to worry about professional attire, since I'm a homemaker. The only clothes that I found that fit me were at Motherhood Maternity.

Just a few suggestions of places to try... J.C.Penney, Fashion Bug, e-Bay.

It was also suggested to me that I have someone make some clothes for me (after searching for weeks for maternity jeans that would fit). I never went that route, but it's something to think about. I mean, if you know your way around a sewing machine, it can't be too difficult to put together a skirt or two for work.

I posted a few links below that might be some help to you. Check the clearance sections of the sites and you might have some luck.

One other thing you might want to try, if you're a person who does... see what you can find in thrift stores, yard sales, flea markets. I also listed the main site for "freecycle". Find the group near you and you might have some luck there, too!

Good luck and congrats on your pregnancy!

They always seem to have cute maternity clothes at Target when I am not pregnant or dont need anymore maternity clothes. They had some cute professional stuff too, with a nice looking skirt. I was able to get away with black or tan pants and a shirt when I was working and no one said anything. Kmart also had some cute stuff a while ago. Keep looking in the sale racks of the nice department stores too, you never know what you will find.

Definitely try ebay. If you look at lots, you can find bunches of clothes for a reasonable price and just have one shipping fee. You could get lucky and find someone selling close to you so you won't have to pay shipping. Target also has a nice selection of maternity clothes, at a reasonable price.

Go with the web, here are so many more deals to choose from. Check out Karen's Maternity, she has listings of all the maternity sales and coupons.
