My husband and I had unprotected sex a week ago (for the first time since my IUD was removed in June). My breasts are also very tender.

I would not even bother testing until you have missed your period. And since you just had the IUD removed it could be a few cycles before you can be regulated. So just keep track, and be patient. But you can use them(OTC) if you have missed your period by a few days...

The most sentive OTC home pregnancy tests say you can test five days before your period is expected to start. You may get a false negative this early, of course, so you will want to test again in a few days. Always test your first waking urine specimen because it is the most concentrated.

Getting pregnant on the first cycle is not the expected outcome, so don't be too disappointed.

The soonest would be four days before your next period. I dont think you would find out a week after having sex because it takes three days for the fertilized egg to implant in you.

Ask your pharmacist....or read each EPT box and see which one has the right time frame for you. They are very accurate now and can be used so quickly, compared to the "old days"! Good luck!

As soon as you miss your period, or if it comes and you have breast soreness that doesn't go away when your period ends try buying OTC, "FIRST RESPONSE"..
