Maple syrup does not break down into hydrogen peroxide. Honey does. The antibacterial properties of honey are well known. After applying honey to your zit to kill the bacteria, follow it with a coating of vaseline to keep more bacteria from getting in.

Be sure you put an old pillowcase on your pillow.

Honey is the best. Bacteria can not survive in honey nor can honey spoil.

Maple Syrup does not have the anti-bacterial properties of honey.

Maple syrup won't work as well as hone- in fact it may worsen your skin because it doesn't have the natural enzymes that honey does- even though they both are a natural sweeteners.
