being gothic isnt the clothes u wear or the makeup u wear, its ur way of life...the word "gothic" is over 2000 years old, and it means

This question is completely blown out of proportion by some of the answerers on here.
Gothic isn't worshiping the devil, it has nothing to do with that. It is actually a way of life for some people, and it is a heritage. People who dress in black and hate people are sure, what people call gothic, but they aren't, they are trying to stand out or be known as different.

Gothic are the ppl who were black clothes everyday and dark make-up normally listen to rock music, but they arent devil worshipers, its just a style or click.

Gothic ppl r into dark colors to wear and weird hairstyles. They believe in freedom and all rights. Kinda hippyish. Some goth groups r known for sellin dope and/or crack. I'm friends with a goth and she just dresses dark and believes in freedom. Many goth are into heavy metal music, like my friend. Depends on where u live in someways

They are the rebels. The stereotypes within the word are so retarded. They are never scary. They just hate the world because of what it has done to society. It's pretty fun to mess with the gothophobes though like preppy girls, they're the worst of them all.

ok first off... i totaly agree with the second awnser... by "umm...." thats correct. And second.....
This whole they wear black. worship satan, and are creepy and scary. blah blah blah... Stereo typical bull****, started by the Christian Faith. Enough said.
I am and have been' GOTHIC" for going on 22 years now. I dont prance around hating everyone, Wearing black clothing, Doing my hair wierd, am not creepy, And i DO NOT WORSHIP SATAN. i am wicca. Based on my Heritage- 5th B.C DRUID-CELTIC-PAGAN.

a creepy person who dresses in all black and worsips the "dark" side of things. when i hear them talk about the dark side and all that crap, i'm all like "WTF are you talking about!!!!!"
DO NOT become a goth!!!!! They are creepy and scary. Stay away from them like the plauge!!!!
