Some people even in this day and age are ignorant. Ignore them and keep on doing what you do best. When my daughter was younger I used to take her to a playgroup and there was a single dad there. They hardly talked to him at all...they said they were uncomfortable. I of course being a bit of a big mouth talked to him and ended up admiring him a lot. He was very patient and a great dad and we became good friends. If they are mean who cares. As long as your family is thriving they can go suck eggs.

I think some people are still not open to the idea that in our society today men and women can switch roles. Im guessing thats because they're not open minded to things and conservative when it comes to a set up like your situation as a stay at home dad. Back in the old days men carried rocks so I guess some people still live in that era thinking that's all men can do.

Funny? No. It's not even pathetic.
But guard against paranioa about it. Go out occasionally and pick a fight The word will get around and that'll show those mean mommas at school.
Are you a Soccer Dad? Nothin' wrong with that, either.

I think people just act that way because they think they should be staying by themselves living a great life. But they don't understand that life is not always peaches and cream and it's always good to have someone care for you. She still loves you enough to move back into the house.

Society sucks sometimes!!!! I think it is great that you are a stay at home Dad. People can be so mean and dumb. They still have the old fashioned thoughts of the dad brings home the bacon sort of thing. Screw them, who cares what they think. If your kids are happy and you are happy then to hell with everyone else.

People just aren't used to it. Some probably think that you just say you're a stay at home dad but in reality you are just a man with no job. I think it's awesome that you stay at home with the kids.

when something doesn't follow what people "percieve" as the norm, they balk at it. personally my cousin has been a stay at home dad for the past 20 years. His wife makes excellent money and every time he tried to find a job they told him he was over qualified. I think its great and if you like it and are good at it don't care what others think, they are not in your shoes.

ha,ha,ha.....just kidding. It is a little effeminate though. but, hey, if the mom makes more than you did, that would explain it. I would love to have stayed home with my kids, but we needed two salaries to pay the bills - so we worked in different shifts so one of us was always home with them-not the best for the relationship, but it can be done. If both wanted to stay home, and didnt work in shifts, there would be a fight as to who would get to stay home. Personally, I prefer someone who wants to work(but that's just my opinion.)

I think it's great! As long as Mum's happy working and you're happy doing what you're doing and the kids are healthy and happy then who cares? Forget those other mothers, they're probably just bitter about the fact that their husbands aren't the same.
