No. Intelligence is most closely associated with the density of neural connections in the brain. All mammals except man are born after the brain stops making connections. Humans continue to make new connections until they are three months old. Stimulation of the brain, (light color, form, sound touch, smell, etc.) causes a huge increase in the number and density of neural connections.
Intelligence is a tool, (albeit a powerful one) that allows us to predict future events and avoid many of the miseries that would otherwise befall us. We may be more acutely aware of the misfortunes we fail to avoid, but the list of problems we have solved with out intelligence almost defies comprehension.
Consider this: Nearly every living creature on Earth has a life expectancy of one billion heartbeats. Humans reach that number when they're around 25 years old, which was more or less the life expectancy of cave men. Today, we've barely gotten started at 25.

In other words, is ignorance bliss?
Personally, I don't think so. I think that the range of happiness and unhappiness changes with intelligence. The more intelligent a person is, the more happy or unhappy the person can be. A person who is less intelligent just has more primitive happiness and primitive unhappiness.
I think it balances out to a a general happiness for most people in a certain environment, independent on how happy the person is in that environment.
That is just my guess, though.

I suppose you mean inversely proportional (when one variable goes up and the other variable goes down it's call inversely proportional).
I think that it's the other way around. Intelligent people (on average) find more to make them happy than less intelligent people.

i think it does not necessarily follow. there are a lot of other things that could make a person happy and there are also things that make us unhappy because we know a lot of things. know the saying,''What you don't know won't hurt you"?. well i think that answers your query.

Yes.
It follows that if ignorance is bliss, then knowledge is despair. If you know too much, life can be unbearable...
How happy I would be if I didn't think so much!!!
