The ramp is so steep and their plumbing is right in the way making it very hard to get in or out of the restaurant every time I have said something to them they say they are working on it. It has been three yrs now from the first time I have asked them about the entrence now last night I went there and was told the same thing they are working on it.

So I live in Centeral Coast Calif.
Is there anyone that knows of a good Lawyer for Americans with Disability Acts. I really need to speak to a good Lawyer it seems that the only way people will do something is if they are being sued.
I tried to do it the nice way first.
Please anyone with any info.

This question is a perfect example of why the ADA was opposed. It is a license to sue. America First, the restaurant has a ramp. You apparently can make it through the door since you have been going there for three years. Don't sue them. Just take your patronage elsewhere and tell them why.

Instead of wasting taxpayers' money and supporting exploitive lawyers, why not just ask for help from someone going in? Before dismissing that, did you ever try asking someone? Americans can be pretty charitable. If only more disabled people realized that, we could have avoided billions of dollars of construction re-work.

I don't think I'm the only one who always asks handicapped individuals if they could use a helping hand.

You are not an island. We are all in this world together.

I am in a chair and I use the kitchen entrance. This way you also get to know how the kitchen is run and see if it is clean and see who is cooking your food. Just call ahead and let them know you are coming and they will leave the door cracked or have someone meet you outside to hold open the door. Not necessary to sue or get lawyers involved unless necessary. It might be a family owned place and small and just making it. If you are nice they might be a little more flexible. Or bring the food to your car and you can take it home.

Seriously, wouldn't it be a total bummer if after three years, and a successful lawsuit that forced the upgrading to be done better and quicker, and you finally got to enter the place........ and then you about gag on the food because it's awful.

I like eating at home.

What is it with people wanting to sue every one why not find a way to get a court order forcing them to do something about the ramp.

Write a letter to the editor of your local newspaper about this situation. Perhaps this establishment needs to hear the concerns from other patrons who support your dilemma. Stay the course!
