I am invited to a job interview in accounting field. I know that I should dress very conservatively, and I already have a nice black suit ready. But I am not sure what kind of bag I should take. A small purse and a separate folder with documents? Or a rather big bag where I could fit the folder?
Thanks!

OMG please take a professional bag, either a briefcase or something similar designed for business purpose, and nothing else, keys etc can go right in the bag. Carrying loose items as some people suggested looks very sloppy. Don't take excess stuff in the bag, you want to be organized enough to pull out needed items easily. Items you should have in there are: as many resumes as there are people you are meeting plus one or two ( eg meeting 3 people, take 5). Leather or leather look padfolio with a clean white or yellow legal pad in it for note taking, a nice looking pen (costs more than $1), oh copies of your reference list in the same format as your resume, only give these upon request, or ask if they would like one and only give if they say yes.

The bag: it is important what it looks like, it is just as much part of your image as your suit. When I am looking for work I always go out and get a new nice bag, my last one was $65 and well worth it. If you really can't afford it then at least get a black or grey one someplace like walmart for about $20, its an important touch.

Well, I think a small purse and folder sounds good. Though u could carry the purse and bag. Maybe that's what. Just my opinion.

I think one of those small leather briefcases would be good. Alternatively I would go with the small purse. Rattling around for things in a big purse seems very scatterbrained and unprofessional. Much better to have the documents in a folder and just hand it to them. Good luck with your job interview.

I would not mix the personal items such as in your purse with the business folder. A nice leather-bound business folder including your resume, business cards, letters of recommendation and/or portfolio with blank lined paper for notetaking, if necessary. You should have a page of research on the company so you can review it before the interview. Carry a clutch, not dressy but simple & classic which has lipstick, face powder, mirror to check your teeth & smile and peppermint lifesavers. No gum! Now stand tall, shoulders back, smile of confidence and voila! You're ready to knock them over. Walk in, look the person straight in the eyes and extend your hand to a gentle but firm shake. When he/she says it's nice to meet you say, "Thank you, the pleasure is mine", and await an offer to be seated. The rest is history. Congratulations.. you're hired! :)

No purse, no bag. Just a folder with your resume. If you have to have something to carry your keys, personals, etc. then a small purse matching your outfit, that's all. Goodluck!

A large tote that still looks professional would be nice-a cleaner look than a purse and a folder. One large bag could hold your purse contents and also your folders.

Ditch the purse and take in only the essential items. You do not want to be juggling items or forgetting something in an office. You are there for one purpose only...to get the job. If you don't need it for the interview leave it in the car.

Small purse, if you have to bring one. Go in with just the folder.

They for sure have a subject with worker theft. I bear in strategies the comparable element happening as quickly as I labored at Walgreens one hundred years in the past. extremely that's no longer criminal and a variety of fake imprisonment. That place is difficulty. Get out of there and discover yet another pastime.
