Both!!
Most Humans in the western hemisphere speak Spanish.
Chinese has been growing as a language of commerce.
If doing business learn the language of the Humans of whom you have business encounters.
Learning anything never hurt anyone. Now application of what is learned is another matter.
Always start with the magic words of friendship in any language.
Please & Thank you are always good starting points.

Depends on where you live. In the US, spanish, definitely. I'm not sure about the usefulness of Mandarin outside of China, or how widespread the chinese population is in other parts of the world.

Both are very useful. I am a native Spanish speaker currently learning Mandarin and can honestly tell you that both languages are very useful and worth pursuing.

Chinese (mandarin) is easier to learn than people think. It's a beautiful language (to understand and to read/write). More useful? Both are very useful now.
