That's easy.

4(x + 2) - 3x = x - 6
4x + 8 - 3x = x - 6
4x + 8 - 3x - x + 6 = 0
0x + 14 = 0
0x = - 14
Note: No answer to this.

And
8x - 5 + 9x = 17x - 5
8x - 5 + 9x -17x + 5 = 0
8x - 8x (after 9x - 17x) - 5 + 5 = 0
0x + 0 (after - 5 + 5) = 0
0 = 0
Note: Regardless of whether x has any value, the formula will still lead the answer to 0.

4x+8-3x=x-6

x+8=x-6

x-x=14

0=14(no solution because zero doesn't have a variable)

8x-5+9x=17x-5

17x-5=17x-5

0=0
