There is no "American" baseball, it;s just baseball fro s start.

Baseball: ball is throw overhand or sidearm from a mound with a windup
Cricket: ball is bowled overhand after a running start

Baseball has 3 bases and a home plate.
Cricket has two sets of stumps batters run back and forth from.

Baseball players wear gloves and in cricket only the wicketkeeper does.

Baseball lasts 9 innings (or so...games can extra innings if tied).
Cricket lasts for days on end or even just one-day in one-day cricket.

Baseball has the 7th inning stretch. Cricket has a tea break.
