You can't change a mistake in the past, but you can avoid screwing up your future. Without a college education, your chances of getting a good job are slim to none. Obviously, there are some fields where you probably won't be able to work (teaching, law enforcement, etc.), but if you talk with an advisor at your school, you'll be able to find a major you enjoy that will also help you find a job later on.

And when it's time to apply for jobs, be honest. Admit that you screwed up four years ago, but that you're doing what you can to make sure you don't make a mistake like that again. Many employers will respect that honesty and may give you a chance to prove that you can be trustworthy.

Don't give up on yourself--you deserve better than that!

This is a bad idea. With a college degree, even with a felony, you can still get a decent job. If you keep your record clean, you can get your record exponged after 10 years. With an exponged record, your record is sealed and its almost if it never happened. Employers will never find out about it. Considering it happened when you were 18 and you're 22 now. You only have 6 years left. Assuming you have appx. 2 years of college now, when you get a Bachelor's, you will only have 4 years to clean your record. You can work a "whatever" job for 4 years until the time comes to move on to bigger and "better" things. Just because you messed up once doesn't mean your life is over. Just persevere!

one stupid thing at 18! you want to do another one at 22??? come on! stay in school, get your degree and maximise your chance to get a job (and why not , a career). It will not be easy, that's for sure! but with education on your side, you will be able to keep your options a bit more open. So hang in there and go for it!

If you eliminate the positive then you will only have the negative remaining .... Is that sensible? Since u cannot change your past decision all that is left is to pile on as many good choices as possible to establish good faith and counter balance the past.
Good luck to you!
