Yes, every emotion is the manifestation of many chemical events that occur in the brain. For example, dopamine is a chemical that is responsible for the feeling of satisfaction or happyness. The reason smoking marijuana has an effect on our behavior and feelings is precisely because the substances/chemicals in marijuana are confused by our brain as it's own chemicals/neurotransmitters, meaning it confuses the chemicals in marijuana for dopamine or any other neurotransmitters. This is most likely because the chemicals in marijuana are very similar to the neurotransmitters in our brain. The addiction of marijuana or any other drug is the result of the inhibition of dopamine reuptake due to the excess of the similar chemical. The functions of the brain sense the imbalance thus inhibit the reuptake of dopamine in order to establish a balance between the intake of marijuana. The inhibition of dopamine reuptake will cause the subject to need marijuana in order to feel good.

emotions are manifested by past situations and understanding of what is happing.. in your mind. it's a point of view. it's emotions point of view. to say it's created by crebral impulses is like saying my hand just slapped you without me knowing. only full cooperation of the mind can give you manifested emotion.

It all comes down to pleasure and pain.

Don't overthink it.

Pleasure brings you happiness and pain brings you sorrow.

Your emotions are tied to your senses first and your brain second.
