I heard that The Texas Chainsaw Massecre was based on a true feeling, can you tell me whats up?

heh...Texas Chainsaw Massacre is ab absolute work of fiction. Nothing in Texas ever happened like that. There is no barbeque stand that sells human-burgers. The story is loosely based on sereal killer Ed Gein and other oddmass murders, but only as far as to give the authors and screenwriters inspiration. The original was intientionally made to be shocking and let the audience walk out thinking they bhad watched a documnetary-esque film about a group of kids murdered.

The leather facemask was just a piece of costume they thought they had to have and created. Although another killer did wear one simular, there is no evidence outside of the authors words that link the two together.

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre was inspired by the serial crimes of Ed Gein. He was also the inspiration of films such as Deranged, and was inspirational in the character development for the novels Psycho and The Silence of the Lambs (The Buffalo Bill character).
