If she has only made $10 and spent $1500 in the last two years, I would say for certain she will not become rich. If she keeps at it she will become poor, very poor. The company and her sponsor will become rich, very rich.

It takes time and effort to earn money with Quixtar, but it also requires a willingness to learn, and if necessary, change and grow. Many many people have earned significant incomes through network marketing company. As with developing any business, it is quite normal for it to take quite a deal of time before you see a profit. If in 2 years all she has made is $10.00 then I would question what she is doing. I work with Amway and you can make more money than that selling one product, such as Nutrilite or XS energy drinks. If she is not willing to actually start doing what is necessary to build a business, then she should perhaps reconsider her goals.
As for your own experience, asking over 500 people to go to seminars and having only 2 respond positively is a very very very poor response rate. Long before you asked that many people you should get advice and help from successful IBOs to find out what they did, because quite obviously there was something going wrong!

You DON'T have to be in it from the beginning to be successful, but it does take hard work, persistance and consistant effort. Your friend may not have been all of those and that has hampered the growth of her business.
Think of a bag of microwave popcorn. If you heat it for a few seconds at a time then take it out, it'll never pop even though you've had it in for the recommended time. But if you put it in and leave it in (Keep applying the business principals consistantly), eventually the popcorn will take off and expand quickly.
The hardest part is getting to the "take off" point.

I don't know anything about Quixtar, but Amway used to be big back in the 70's and 80's. I was in it for awhile back in the late 70's, but didn't get rich. I didn't put much effort into it though. I guess if your friend can put a lot of effort and probably some of her own money into it, maybe, but I wouldn't count on it. Wish I could be more help.

No one ever gets rich from these companies unless you are in from the beginning. It is just fun and you can get the products at a better price. Don't fall for all the hype.
