no both are totally different. face wash cleans the surface of the skin while cleansers cleans the pores of the skin

Practically they are the same.
Your best bet is an antibacterial soap like Dial Complete
Wash with hot foamy water then rinse with hot then, cold , then put aloe vera on face....

Essentially yes....and to place emphasis on the first person's response...cleansers are usually more creamy and washes are thinner, more watery. Please, please, please dont use regular soap on your face! It is very delicate and needs extra care. At minimum your face needs a gentle cleanser and a mild moisturizer.
