If it was even a close call I could understand but it was clear as day that a Oregon player touched the ball first. Oregon got that one handed to them in the end.

So, I must agree with some of the sediment on here but not all of it! Let me start out with the facts. Oklahoma did have 0:43 left when they had it kicked to them and they could have made a touchdown. And if not a touchdown, they could have hit the field goal attempt. Oregon did in fact have higher stats (while I realize that doesn't mean they should win I rather think that it is legitimate to have them win the game).
As to your second point, Oregon is able to hang with the big dogs. For evidence of that, we shall see in the games ahead.
As to your third point, we never ever will know who would have won without that call.
Also, bad things do happen. In fact, I can remember a time when Oregon had won a game against the Stanford Cardinals when their band took the field and helped to block for the Cardinals. Was this play ever turned around? No! Did Oregon ask to have the game scratched from the record books? No! Did Oregon threaten the officials who made the call? No! So, honestly, it seems to me that Oregon would have handled the situation differently (and better) than Oklahoma.

1st off, by quoting jim rome you lose all credibility. 2nd he makes very valid points. The Sooners can’t handle the fact that they flat-out choked after the blown call. Maybe they’re looking for answers to why their secondary, even with the bad pass interference call (that ball was tipped) couldn’t make a final stop, or why their special teams couldn’t block anyone on the final field goal attempt. Two bad calls do not decide a game, a horrible defense does though.

well jim rome is retarded, but really, bad calls do still happen even with replay. and it's not like ou was going anywhere, they struggled to beat oregon, and the one call did NOT decide the game, ou still had to close the game out, they had plenty of chances to take the game over, and not doing it then left them vulnerable. the refs screwed up major, but really all these stupid hyperventilating ou fans have nothing better to do with their lives? it's one game in a season that wasn't going anywhere, do they have to threaten the guy's families? it's pretty sad

College football is stupid period. It's bad football and just a glorified minor league. Honestly, unless you attend or are an alumnus of either college, who cares?
