I hope you mean 'how' with the 'he' ?
'Area in life' is too broad an expression - because it will include your family life, and career, as well. Then your Q will even mean whether it is okay to only succeed in your career while failing in personal life, or vice versa !
Ask a clear Q and you'll get clear Answers, right ?
...Taking it that you meant to ask what field you should choose, to be successful, I'd suggest :
Pick a career that INTERESTS you : Then, even if the initial struggle proves hard, your interest in that field will keep you going on and on, until you have made your mark in that field, and been rated as a success.
Best of luck.
