Anyone who gets caught is usually sorry. He's so sorry that he signed thirty baseballs to the effect to be auctioned at $1000.00 each. He's a sad representation of what happens to certain people when they make a lot of money and it goes to their heads. He was a great baseball player but a lousy hero.

I loved Pete Rose as a player and think he should be in the Hall of Fame. However, I don't believe he is sorry for betting except that it has taken away his chances for the HOF and although I think he should be in the Hall, I also think he should be banned from ever coaching or being involved in baseball management. But you can't take away what he did on the field. He was one of the best.

I still like Rose, and I think he should be in the hall of fame.
Its what you do on the field. If he took steroids to enance his ON field performance that would be another thing.
You can take steroids, take illegal drugs, beat your wife, no problem, you get a second chance, but not Pete!

he is sorry for both, because it's keeping him out of the hall of fame and that will torment him til the day he dies unless he gets elected in before he dies
