Almost everyone I know that saw that movie when it came out said it was soooo awful. Well I just saw it on dvd and thought it was genious. I mean it is almost crazy enough to really happen. There are probably some cults out there that make their members believe that same kind of thing.

I absolutely loved it! I think M. Night is genious. I thought the ending was great and totally unexpected. Great twist. The best part in the whole movie was when she is standing at the door with her hand out waiting for Lucious and the creatures are comming! It is bone chilling because she is blind so she doesn't know if they're close or not but she has so much faith in him that he will come make sure they are ok that she will stand there with her hand out. And of course he shows up and they run to the basement! WOW!
Loved it!

I think the reviews for the movie were misleading to say the least.
Truthfully, it really wasn't THAT bad & neither was, "Lady In The Water" either.
I thought the movie was clever.
A little scary come to think of it.
That there're those who choose to "shut" themselves out of reality. Although it made sense, with all the craziness today's world coming to... but would I be able to survive in this kind of environment? Don't think so, lol.

I also liked the Village very, very much...and suffer the wrath of idiots who do not appreciate original writing and movie making....they just like the same cookie cutter bs that comes out every day.

I have to disagree. I thought it was totally predictable, which is sad because what's usually so great about Shamalyan's movies is the twists.

yeah, i dont know why people say its a bad movie, i really like, it has some pretty good twists...
imagine if some cults do that kind of thing,that`s creepy....

it is ok movie, must really pay attention to the movie in order to understand it. not one of M. Night Shyamalan's best cmpared to his earlier ones. I think Sixth Sense is still the best of all his movies

If they thought it was awful then they weren't paying enough attention to it. I found it to be interesting and visually pleasing.
