Its not exactly true that workers get paid little.
Its more of that they need very little to survive.
we need to pay 1000$+ a month for a single bedroom apartment in bay area. I dont know the rates in China.. But it is wouldnt be even close to that in China. That is just one aspect. There are many aspects that add costs to the manufacturing process.
So its just the economy factor. It just turns out to be cheaper to get things done over there and get it shipped back than making it here.

Because the U.S. government likes to cheat on their taxes. One way they do it is by borrowing a bunch of money, then devaluing the dollar so that the amount of work it takes to pay off the loan is less.
Sometimes, they use the reverse logic and protect the value of the dollar by protecting trade items that are based on dollars (like oil). When the price of oil goes up (most oil is traded in dollars), the value of a dollar goes up. When the value of a dollar is high, it is easy to buy a lot of stuff in other countries for next to nothing. This encourages production (jobs) to move out of the U.S. and into other countries. Usually, this reverses after a while because the dollar would eventually deflate, the economy would go into recession, and the jobs would come back. Unfortunately, the high demand for oil around the world has kept the value of the dollar artificially inflated, so that Americans think they are richer than they really are, and almost ALL of our manufacturing has moved out of the country. We mostly are living on the demand for U.S. dollars in world trade, and on the inflating prices of our houses. Few people have good paying productive jobs and fewer are paying off their loans. Instead, they are just paying interest and waiting for the value of their houses to go up enough to sell them and pay their bills. Except that everyone is acting the same way and we are on the verge of a collapse in the economy.

u . s . has an incredible type of goods synthetic in China, Pakistan, India, Costa Rica, etc. What that's, the products are maximum possibly from u . s ., then they are sent to different place and ensambled. i'm no longer one hundred% constructive for this reason, yet i've got self belief that's because of the fact the hard artwork is greater inexpensive like this, yet do no longer take my be conscious, there must be different motives

There are things made in the USA; these items may cost a little bit more than those made in China.
China has saturated our markets with goods that are well made and inexpensive. Walmart and other retailers buy from China. I buy from Walmart because of the value. We live in a global economy. Voila! Buy American when you can to keep USA citizens in work.
Welcome to life in 2006!

It is cheaper to have things made in China. We also trade with them as well, but the U.S. is in debt.

American Eagle and Fischer Price (just examples) are made in america and it is because labor is cheaper there so things cost less when it is made there and shipped here.
