Well screw the 4.3 transplant maybe I will stick to a 2.8 liter. I know the 2.8 and the 3.1 liters in the 1988 and newer beretta's and cavelier's are better than the old cast iron head 2.8s. Will they fit into my 88 S10 Blazer? Hope Im not asking to many q's

Isuzu used a 3.1 L. Chevy engine in their 89 - 91 Troopers and 89 - 92 Rodeos it had the throttle body fuel injection like your truck so it should be simple to drop into your truck.

no they wont ,,they don't have the drill out,s for the mounts for the rear wheel drive cars,,it would be nice if they did though, the 3.1 is a real good engine, and would be a hoss of a motor in a s-10,,there was some cars that actually had the 3.1 in them that was rear wheel drive,,any one of those could be made to work in it,,if you could find one that wasn't wore out,,im not sure of all the years that would fit though,,it was a limited amount ,this i know for sure ,,good luck,,maybe the 2,8 will keep going for a while.
