What do you do when you go out with a man? I have always wondered what it would be like to take a girl from a big city with me on Sat. night we would turn 10 or 12 foxhounds loose and then set back and listen to them run their game all night under the stars .

No problem finding something to do where I am. I live in an area with 135 miles of nature/jogging/bike trails. I have hummingbirds, woodpeckers, squirrels, possum, raccoons, and spotted my two cats watch an armadillo dig up the front yard last night. I have three huge lakes and the Gulf of Mexico within 60 miles of me.

Outside of nature calling *grin*, there are fabulous restaurants, comedy clubs, museums, clubs, movies, symphony, other concert venues, walking around downtown, festivals, shopping, and on and on.

But mostly I sit at home on Saturday night waiting for SNL reruns. *sigh* I do know what you are saying though. I recently spotted a small house about 30 miles from here. In the country, on an acre, with only one other house in view. I want it soooooo bad to get away from "all of these things to do".

:)

I live in the asphalt jungle but love the country. The country is in my heart. I've always said you can live in the country but still have the city life but you cant live in the city and have the country life. I will one day again live in the country w/my horses in my backyard and my Corgis running the fields. Your hounds would devour my corgis..hehe. Night hikes are fun and to be in an open field under the stars w/your lover listening to the sounds of night is so romantic and relaxing. Its good for the soul.

Isnt a tracking collar for your hounds to know their location?

I think a city girl would be too afraid of the hounds and all the night noises. I would much rather hear the country night noises than the city night noises. The animals aren't going to hurt you. Those crazy city people will.

My husband was from Chicago and I was from the sub-burbs of Virginia. When I visited Chicago we went to dinner and dancing, movie - the usual, but it's always fun. And during the day we went to the art institute and looked at Picasso's. I prefer nature, though, and woodland areas. I think it would be nice to go out and walk some dogs through the woods. (I'm not one for hunting)
