have u ever hurt anyone by addiction? If so how do u gain that persons respect, or trust? How did u overcome the addiction? I am talkin about any addiction! Just lookin for some advice on addiction! I really lost hubbys trust on my addiction he helped me once, but I started it again! Will he ever trust me again? I honestly think he's goin to leave me, I dont blame him. Any way to make it better? I feel it's already to late, things cant go back to the way they were, will it ever be normal again?
Please dont be rude in ur answers, I made a HUGE mistake and I am truely sorry for it. How could I have let this happen?

if he is smart he will not trust u 4 a long time. at least until after u have overcome ur addiction 4 good. seek help as much help as u can get. I was addicted 2 drugs n the only way I stopped was 2 change my entire life. I had councelors that helped me, friends, family and the most important thing I had was the relization that I was not going 2 get better until I one wanted 2 be better n two could be stronger than my addiction. its a *****, the hardest thing I ever did but it was well worth it.
as 4 hubby hopefully with time things will work out. but girl smaten up if he does leave what r u gonna do wallow in ur addiction or stand up n get urself 2gether 4 urself. either way it goes u need help. and as much as u can get. if u do not know where 2 start go 2 ur dr and ask 4 help.
good luck n with or without hubby u have 2 change 4 urself.

Well addition of any sort is hard. He did help you once and then you kind of slaped him in the face when you did it again. My guess to him it seems as though the addition means more to you than he does. And like you said you do not blame him. Will things get better well it might. If you can prove yourself to him they might get better. Have you thought about sitting down and talking to him about how the addition affects you but most important how it affects him. He might need to hash out things with you and use you as a punching bag kinda and it might help you through this but there is a chance he see no use and will move on. I think you need to offer what ever means available to you (help) to save what you 2 have and see if there is a chance.
Good Luck

Look you can only try your best to give it up and ask for alot of support cause it is hard to give up something if you have no support that is why they call it an addiction. I havent had an addiction before but My step brother has big time and i will be honest it has wrecked his life and those around him including me. The last few months though has been life changing for him as he now has a girlfriend who is being very supportive towards him.
Just hang in there. I am here for support if you need it.

Most people who are in recovery relapse.Nobody gets it right the first time. However, that isn't your husbands fault.Your mistake is the behavior you learned while using. You make promises you can't keep and that's what he is expecting.Every time you prove him right he loses a little more respect for you.Talk to him tell him the truth. You want to overcome this, but you can't promise you will.Ask him to help you, prove how sorry you are,and the next time your tempted think of how badly you hurt him before you do it again.Lived his life,it sucks, but you can get through it.

maybe the addiction is attention, maybe you're starving for it in any way U possibly can get it... i've been there girl, guess the only way 2 stop the addiction is 2 find out what the root of the addiction is, and heal that part of yourself... be good 2 yourself... & goodluck!

I think you need professional help in your addiction. I also feel you and your husband need to go to counseling for your marriage, otherwise I feel your marriage may end. That indeed would be very sad. Look around you...is it all worth loosing for an addiction you have...I think not, right?

Well, if it's an addiction that requires rehab, check yourself in.
If it doesn't, maybe you could go to couples counseling so the therapist can help with your addiction... and your husband will know that you're trying.
Good luck to you :)

i hurt my boyfriend before.. plenty of times. whenever i would go out with my girls to the clubs.. he would just ask me to call him and let him know im ok and i got there and home safely. but.. i always forgot to call him. and it was really hurting him and annoying him.. and i said sorry so many times and its like it didnt mean anything b/c i kept on doing it. until he seriously said i " i dont want you to do this anymore, if you do its over" and when those words came out of his mouth.. i struck me in the heart and i thought to myself that i would hate to be treated like this.. so why am i doing it to him..so i stopped going out for a while and then i finally went out and i did call him like every 5 mins.. not really prolly every hour to say hi and i love you. but things changed.. you just have to put yourself in there position how would you feel if he did that to you? you know.. i hope i helped alittle.. best wishes
