my son is 9 4th grade and he cannot grasp math...he has 3-4 hrs of homework a night and we dont always get finished...the school is testing for learning disability but that takes a while...he has trouble in all subj but math is the worst...he has to bring his classroom homework alot because its not done or messy...i need help...how can i help him...i have tried and so has the teacher, personally , i thnk the math is too hard for a 4th grader

No one can really judge that except for yourself...you're the one that interacts with your kid. Besides, you haven't even informed us of the math he's doing! How will we know?
Anyway, I was multiplying double-digit factors by each other when I was in second-grade.
In third-grade, I could multiply and divide fractions (when dividing, remember to use reciprocals!)
And now, in seventh-grade, I'm a straight-A+ student.

Last year, a friend of my daughter received tutoring through the school for math after school for free. See if your school offers it or if they can refer you to a tutor.

get him a tutor....go to like sylvan learning center. there should be professional tutoring companies in your area that can evaluate your child and figure out whats really going on and help him!

he's proably desylic,mabye send him to a tutor,teach him make math fun!
