only took 3 hits and it was my friends first time. how long will it stay in her system if she gets a urine test?

THC has a "half life of about 30 days in the fat cells of smokers which means that in 30 days half the THC will be gone and 30 days later, half of that will be gone, etc..
I imagine that since your friend is not "saturated", It won't be long until they would pass a urine test cleanly. Most company drug tests do allow a certain amount of THC for "passive contact". Hair test are a different story, they are a record of every chemical change in the body as long as the hair that grew during the drug use remains.

It all matters how long ago your friend smoked! The smaller amount smoked the faster it will get out of her system. Usually about a month and longer in blood! But at the same time the question is how active is your friend? Does she run alot and drink alot of water! Also, thc attaches it's self to your fatty cells! The fatter the person the longer it will take to get out of the system! 3 puffs wont really have an effect!

Urine test: Depends on your metabolism. 3 hits maybe 2 weeks. You have to smoke allot for it to be a month.
Hair: It'll show in your hair in 3 days. The time they can test for it depends on how much money they want to spend on the test.
Saliva: 3 days.
Check the Internet. Don't scare yourself over what some of these people are saying because some of them don't know there butt from a hole in the ground.

ok, no matter if ya took 3 hits or smoked a 1/2 oz. THC, the active ingredient in Marijuana is stored in the fat cells in your body. The fat cells replace themselfs every 28 days, so it will be 28 days before she can pass a UA. There are ways to defeat a UA, such as teas and vitamins but the best way to pass a UA test is TO BE CLEAN

About a month.Marijuana stays in system longer then any other drug, Meth 2 days, Coke 3 days, Alcohol 24 hrs.

after 30 days, about 75% of the chemicals are gone, after 45 days, about 90% are gone...
It varies according to person but the body usually eliminates 50% during the first 15 days, 75% during the 30 days, etc.

Anyway, I always heard it's out in a few weeks. But, if you do it on a regular basis it can take months.
If you're worried about drug testing just drink. It's out of you're system in 24 hours or less.

The normal test shows up negative after one month has passed.
