My computer was originallys my great auntie melanies cpu but she gave it to my cousion but he gave it to my family but my family gave it to me,
my computers name is Melanie Saldania but i dont want it to be, it say stuff is by melanie, and wenever i play empire at war my nmae is melanie, how do i chang it to dana?

The only way to change who the computer was originally registered to would be to reinstall windows. You can however, change the computer name and computer desription. Here's how:
1) Go to Start>Control Panel>Performance and Maintnance>System
2) Click the Computer Name tab
3) You can change the Computer Description by typing a new value in the box. A typical desription contains the location of the computer or the name of an administrator. EX: Living Room Computer or Owner's Computer.
4) The Computer Name may be changed by clicking the
"Change" radio button. Don't worry about loosing your network resources unless you are connected to a corporate LAN.
5) It is ok just to leave your workgroup set to MSHOME or whatever else it is set to.
6) Restart the computer to complete the reconfiguration.

if Windows was regiterd as Melanie then you can't change it sorry..and during the registration of your game it just automatically picked up the name from the registry and chances are you won't be able to change it aside from just making an alternate nickname..have you checked the games settings area to see if you can change the name there?

Right-click on mycomputer icon. Click on properties. Click on the computer name tab. Change it. You're done.

click on the picture on the start button and then press on any picture then you'll see a choice of options and you'll see change my name and type it in.

hmmm if you cant change it inside the game im afraid you have to reinstall windows.other way i dont know.

try right clicking on my computer, properties, and then computer name tab and rename it
