Bush spoke directly to the people of Iran saying America respects Islam, the Iranian nation's rich history and culture and that he looks to a day when the two peoples "can be good friends and close partners in the cause of peace."

That's very different from 2002 when Bush said Iran was part of an "axis of evil."

I think he realizes that US citizens are no longer reacting towards fearful tactics, and would rather see the US reach out to other countries rather than threaten them.

There is a probability that Iran uranium enrichment program will be used for atomic weapons. Bush is trying to be diplomatic so that sanctions will not be necessary.

Bush has decided to become not yours or his or even theirs but just a deceiver of deception. Iran is innocent until proven guilty.

I certainly hope he is changing his tune or at least singing it more slowly.
There is enough chaos and killing of innocent people (civilians and military) already.
